2026 WCQ: Super will defeat Benin Republic – Finidi George

The Super Eagles’ coach, Finidi George, has stated that his team will play with the utmost seriousness when they take against the Benin Republic Cheetahs.
Nigeria, who is now tied for fifth place in Group C, drew their first three matches with South Africa, Lesotho, and Zimbabwe.
Prior to the match, Finidi stated that his team is motivated to win since they had learned from their tie with South Africa.
He said, “We are going to approach the game with every seriousness. The match against South Africa, that is gone. We have learnt from it. We just have to get ourselves to have that fantastic second half that we had [against South Africa].
“If we can start that way tomorrow [now today], I think we have a chance.”
The game will be played at the Houphouet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan, Ivory Coast, at 5 p.m. (Nigerian time).
