Samson Oladeji Akande (1896 – 1992), also known as Baba Abiye, was a Nigerian prophet who laboured with the Christ Apostolic Church and later became its Assistant General Evangelist, working closely with Joseph Ayo Babalola during his lifetime. He seemed to have established good relationship with Babalola, as the CAC apostle was said to have taken his last breath in Baba Abiye’s bedroom at Ede, Osun State, in 1959.

He was born of Yoruba pagan parents in 1896. He hailed from Ede, his hometown.

He was a former Muslim who practised Islam prior to his conversion to Christianity. He became blind just fifteen days to his wedding, and his blindness eventually led him to Christ.

He was credited to have founded the CAC Ori-Oke Baba Abiye at Ede in 1944, a Prayer Mountain which is currently being presided by his son: Timothy Funso Akande, and which is one of the most visited Prayer Mountains in southwestern Nigeria.

He was said to served in the CAC for about fifty years until his death in 1992.
