Akeredolu mother’s death, a celebration of life – Ndoma-Egba

Former Senate Leader and ex-Chairman of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Distinguished Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, SAN, has joined other prominent Nigerians to condole with the Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN, over the demise of his beloved mother, Lady Evangelist Grace Akeredolu.

Survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family members, she died in her sleep on Thursday morning at the ripe old age of 90.

In a statement personally signed by Ndoma-Egba, the ex-parliamentarian said: “I received with resignation and total submission to the will of the Almighty, the demise of the mother of my friend and brother His Excellency Rotimi Akeredolu, Governor of Ondo State, Lady Evangelist Grace Bosede Akeredolu JP, who died peacefully in her sleep on Thursday 15th September 2022.

“Though Mama died at the full age of 90 years, the death of a parent at whatever age is sad and confounding. It can be no less so for His Excellency and his siblings. By her demise they would have lost her love, warmth and the assurance of her presence.

“Hers was a life of love, service and sacrifice to family, community, humanity and the Almighty in whose bosom she has earned eternal rest.

“Rather than mourn her death, her family should celebrate her remarkable life. May she rest in perfect peace.”
