Abba Kabir Yusuf, Governor of Kano State

I write on the lingering crisis of Kano emirship tussle which become a subject of discussion among Kano indigent as well the country at large.

Kano an ancient city of cultural heritage, Center for commerce and of course leading state to boost the revenue kit of the country in the Northern Nigeria.

The ongoing emir tussle has not only link to the separation of the royal families but also be considered the feud between the Former Governor of Kano state and the Present National Party Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC, and Former Governor of Kano Engr. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso who is also a political mentor of Incumbent Governor of Kano, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, also known as Abba Gida Gida.

It can be dated far back when the former governor of Kano, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje dethroned Emir Muhammad Sanusi Lamido Sanusi from his sit and replaced him with Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero who is the 15th Emir of Kano. Since Kano was put chaos the put the minds of indigent at unrest. Until now that the incumbent governor Engr. Abba Kabir reinstalled Sanusi Lamido to the position once again.

From the point of economic realities, this rift between the two political actors has set Kano state into state. While others are in support of Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, the indigents are in the side of Sanusi Lamido Sanusi.

– The crisis will also bring about social implications leading to social and ethnic tensions in the state.
-The crisis poses a threat to peace and stability in the state, and if not manage it has the potential to escalate into violence and conflict.

Dear country Man. I will always suggest that let there be room for dialogue, and the Judiciary body should always be neutral as it is while discharging their duties as this help prevent further escalation and ensure the stability and prosperity of the state.

Long live Nigeria
Long live Kano state.
