Flood: 21 dead, 6000 people affected in Niger State

21 people have died and about 6,000 have been affected by three weeks of torrential rainfall and flooding in Niger, Africa, according to numbers issued on Thursday by the interior ministry.

According to the ministry, 13 individuals had perished in buildings that fell during storms, and eight had drowned. According to officials on state television, an additional 26 individuals have been hurt, and another 4,000 livestock have either died or been lost.
