Felix Auger-Aliassime of Canada defeated Ben Shelton of the United States on Saturday to secure a spot in the French Open last 16 against Carlos Alcaraz.

In a match postponed from Friday, the 21st-seeded Canadian cruised to a 6-4, 6-2, 6-1 victory over his opponent ranked 15th.

In 2022, Auger-Aliassime advanced to the fourth round of the Paris Open after falling to Rafael Nadal in five sets.
