As we mark the first anniversary of Hon. Shehu Buba Umar’s tenure as the senator representing Bauchi South, it’s essential to reflect on his significant contributions and achievements. Hon. Umar, known as Mujaddadin Bauchi, has proven himself to be a dedicated public servant and a visionary leader, particularly in his role as the Chairman of the Security Committee in the Senate.
In just one year, Senator Umar has made remarkable strides in improving the lives of his constituents. Among his notable achievements, he has sponsored the payment of medical bills for over 855 people across Bauchi, ensuring they receive the necessary healthcare without financial burden. Additionally, he facilitated the pilgrimage to Hajj for 55 individuals in 2024, demonstrating his commitment to supporting the spiritual aspirations of his community.
During the Ramadan period, Senator Umar distributed food items to those in need, providing three trailer loads of food to lower-income families across Bauchi. This act of generosity ensured that many could observe the holy month with dignity and comfort.
Recognizing the importance of sustainable energy and security, Senator Umar invested over eight million naira to install a solar system at Abu-Huraira Jumu’at Masjid in New GRA, Bauchi. He also facilitated the installation of solar security lights in Lushi through Hon. Shamsuddeen Bala Kaka Lushi, enhancing safety and reducing crime in the area.
