Pipeline Surveillance: Leaders of the defunct Bonny based militia group ‘Okoloma Ikpangi’ commend FG over contract award to Tompolo

They also called on Youths, Women and elders of the region to embrace the new surveillance contractor, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo to ensure the proper and even execution of the jobs, expressing the readiness of the Bonny people to support and facilitate the peaceful execution of the contract jobs in the area.

Former leaders of the once dreaded defunct ex militant group in Bonny, Okoloma Ikpangi that held sway in Bonny local government area of Rivers state, Amadabo 1, Orinaemi Hart and General Igoni Gogo have commended the Federal Government for the award of the crude oil pipeline surveillance contract to the foremost Former Militant leader, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo.

According to Hart and Gogo, the FG decision is a welcomed development that will lead to reduced pollution of the environment and increase production of the nation’s wealth.

Orinaemi Hart, who is the Amadabo 1 of Okoloma Ikpangi and General Igoni Gogo, in a statement issued via electronic mail, noted that the capacity of Tompolo to properly execute the contract is already showing with the series of meeting with stakeholders from the Six states of the Niger Delta thereby signaling the inclusion of every Indigenes of communities in the region.

They called on Tompolo to sustain the policy of inclusion across the states of the region and warned those involved in the criminal acts of oil pipeline vandalisation and crude oil theft to heed to advice and embrace the stakeholders’ vision for peace, security and development.

They also called on Youths, Women and elders of the region to embrace the new surveillance contractor, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo to ensure the proper and even execution of the jobs, expressing the readiness of the Bonny people to support and facilitate the peaceful execution of the contract jobs in the area.

​On the allege plan by the Northern Youths under the aegis of the Area Youths Assembly to protest over the contract award, Hart and Gogo cautioned the Northern Youths against actions that will tribalise the issues of protecting the Nation’s wealth and dismissed the protest plan as unnecessary.
