His Excellency, Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun.

I am constrained to write this letter to you as Chief Security Officer of our dear Gateway State on the security situation of Ogun State.

Sir, As a Governor, you are saddle with the responsibility to protect life and properties of indigenes and residents of our Ogun State as enriched in the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria which you sworn to uphold.

Sir, The security situation in Ogun State is worrisome. The killings, molesting, harassing, rapping and kidnapping of our people by suspected herdsmen in their communities and farmlands need to be halt or put on serious check.

Sir, If you could recall that a woman known as Salami Morenikeji was reportedly shot by Fulani herdsmen on her way to her site along Oru-Awa road, Idofe in Ijebu North local government of Ogun State and till now the perpetrators are yet to be brought to book.

Sir, the most provocative and disturbing one is that soldiers who are supposed to protect our people against aggression, led Fulani herdsmen in their multitudes to towns in Yewa North local government of Ogun State forcing the traditional rulers and their people to accept that cows will continue to graze on people farmland and also molested them.

This act is unacceptable, unethical and unprofessional from the military end who allowed themselves to be used by criminal elements to harassed and brutalized harmless people of Yewa North, those soldiers involved should be brought to book.

There is not gainsaying that Fulani herdsmen has agenda against the western Nigeria, If FG can not take action, it means that Fulani herdsmen has federal backing and international colouration to conquer our territories.

If all herdsmen are not criminals, the good ones should fish out the bad eggs amongst themselves to allow government deal with them mercilessly. Otherwise, they are all criminals and they need to leave our Ogun State and Yoruba Nation in general.

Sir, I will suggests that the anti-grazing law should be send to State Assembly criminalizing open grazing. Governor Artom of Benue did it and it works, it can also work in Ogun State.

Sir, the issue of cultism should also be addressed in Remoland.

Last week, an Aiye confraternity group macheted a man in Isara because they have an issue with the man’s younger brother thanks to Yoruba medicine that did not allow the matchet to penetrate and this act degenerated to burning down a kiosk with goods worth of hundreds of thousands Naira.

I call on Governor to prevail on security agent in Remo North, to beef up security in Isara especially Sabo/Ajina axis as cultists are now using the area as their abode.

His excellency, I know you as a Governor that listen to the voice of his own people and I believe you with act and halt any form of social vices in our Ogun State.

Thank you.
